The CENTRO DI COMPETENZE AGROALIMENTARI TICINO (CCAT), on behalf of the Canton and as a non-profit organisation, promotes the networking of local producers and products. It studies solutions and implements the necessary measures for the dissemination and enhancement of the agrifood businesses of our region. An important showcase for local and international consumers. CCAT creates bridges and opportunities between the various actors in the area. It encourages the production, distribution and consumption of local products while respecting seasonality and the environment. The CCAT Management Board.
Wholesomeness and the agrifood traditions of our land
CCAT presents TICINO A TE
TICINO A TE presents a whole assortment of fresh, wholesome regional products, some of which are certified by means of a stamp of origin – Ticino regio.garantie.
Unmistakable flavours
Our ‘artisans of taste’ guide us to the rediscovery of unique and authentic flavours. Food excellence that is a tribute to our identity.
Food and wine and the local area
A wealth of flavours capable of seducing and satisfying the most discerning palates. The food and wine assortment represents the memory of an entire region. A heritage of tradition, gestures, cultural traits and civilisation. Ancient knowledge born and handed down from the inseparable link between food and local district.
manufacturers and distributors: a large and fast-growing family
A showcase onto the world
Our land offers us breathtaking natural landscapes but also a great variety of produce with unique flavours. The tourism and food and wine sectors manifest themselves in our culture and traditions. They are closely linked and act in synergy. The TICINO A TE logo is the tangible result of this fruitful collaboration.
Tradition and originality
Several grottos and restaurants that are part of the Ticino a Tavola project offer traditional dishes with exclusively local and first-rate raw materials. Culinary research is constantly evolving and it is therefore easy to come across dishes that have been revisited in an original and innovative way.
The value of choice
The agri-food products of our region represent a true historical, cultural and social heritage. They tell of us, of our way of living and being. They are part of us. They are the ethical and conscious choice of being part of the same ecosystem. Balance. A philosophy that favours seasonality and proximity trade. A seductive choice, like savouring a strawberry that grows near you. As the saying goes – ‘we are what we eat’…
“It’s the raw material that makes the difference”
The small stores of the area and the Self-service service
The CCAT, in addition to active promotion with its web portal, encourages the distribution of local products with targeted projects implemented in the local area. The Bottega project is an emblematic example of this. The newborn ‘Self-service‘ project is also part of this proximity strategy.
The Canteen project
Advocates the use of local products in collective catering such as school canteens, hospital canteens, private canteens, elderly homes, etc. The aim is to further enhance those who work in the area and local production while respecting seasonality and the environment.
Ticino regio.garantie certification
The Ticino regio.garantie stamp of origin distinguishes some of the TICINO A TE products. These products certify that between 80% and 100% of the raw materials for production and processing come from Ticino. This is an important guarantee of authenticity and the proven origin of the product. The certification also promotes producers who hand down the flavours and traditions of our region with their outstanding products.
Joining the agri-food network
Means reaching a wider and more sensitive audience by offering greater visibility to products and activities. It facilitates marketing through multi-level distribution channels.
“Measure the degree of sustainability and environmental impact of what you eat”
Shopping is friendlier with Eco-score
Eco-Score is an indicator developed by Beelong to assess the environmental impact of food, using a scale from A to E. The indicator answers a simple question: how to choose food products that have less impact on the environment? How to help the consumer make a choice based on criteria other than mere price?
